Whew I finally have a few mins to sit down and write!  The new semester has started and I'm bogged down with 4 classes this time!  Chemistry is fun but Anatomy & Physiology isn't this semester.  Oh well I will survive!  So it's been a few weeks since my first full marathon and I felt great 2 days after!  So good I really thought about signing up for the ING Miami half!  Thankfully I came to my senses and didn't do it.  Who knows how I could have injured myself!  I had such a great time doing the full marathon I may decide to do another one next year!


My great weekend started with getting off work and picking up my best friend and our little munchkins and driving 4 hours to Disney World!  We were staying at the All Star Sports.  We got there after the expo was closed so we just relaxed in our room for the night.  The next morning we got up bright and early and went to the expo (ok so it was 10am lol).  Picked up my number!

There was tons of stuff to look at!  I got my Mickey Mouse 26.2 for my car and strolled around looking at stuff.  I didn't come with a definite costume for this race so I got a skirt from Team Sparkle! Simply adorable!  So I ended up as Aurora from Sleeping Beauty.

While I was at the expo I stopped by and had my knees taped so I would have less problems with them.  Had some great conversation and a few laughs with fellow runners in line and with the guys from KT Tape!

I've always gotten my gels for my races at the expo so I didn't think about buying it before I went!  THEY SOLD OUT!!  I was crazy frantic lol.  I'm super picky about my gels and I love the Cliff Shots Mocha!  I found some at GNC that I settled for so I was ok lol.

Here we are!!  My Cheer Squad and Me!!!  Soon enough it was time for dinner and bed.  OLIVE GARDEN!!  Yummy had my favorite angel hair pasta with meat sauce!  Then it was time for bed!  Had to get up at 2am to get ready and wake up a bit before heading out to the race.....

The Weekly Chase

Weekend time!!  This will have to be the days that I post my goals for the week!  Molly and Mindy have put this fabulous group together to help each of us achieve our weekly goals.  Such wonderfully supportive friends to have!!  It is completely based on S.M.A.R.T goals (as it really should be!).  This stands for specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and timely!  Smart girls to say the least!  So once a week I will be deciding on a few goals to reach for.  With Disney's Marathon Weekend coming up next week my goals will be marathon related!

#1  Drink at least 3 16oz bottles of water while at work a day

#2  Run 2 times this week

#3  Pack early!!!  I really don't want to worry about packing on Friday when I get off of work!

With Goal #3 in mind I went and visited my favorite Running store!  SoleRunners!!!

Jaime, Ernie and Frankie are the bomb! 

If I ever need anything running related I go there.  Encouragement and high fives are free and always well stocked

Wednesday's and Saturday's they host Kendall Run Club and have such an impressive following here in Kendall!  

While I was there I picked up my favorite socks

I have my Spibelt ready!  I will be sporting a black belt this run (I usually run with a red with white polka dot belt like Minnie Mouse's dress!). I have my Asics ready!

Now I just need to decide what I'm wearing and how to do my hair!

So I'm already halfway to completing goal #3!!!!

New Years Resolutions 2013...

Time for New Years Resolutions. I'm not so good at this.  I do have a few I want to try out.  

I'm new to blogging for myself, however, there is one blog I read every day.

She always has something great she has tried out or something encouraging on her blog.

Today she has some wonderful resolutions!

So with that said I am going to try out one of hers!

Resolution #1

5 by the 5th Virtual Run Series

It is 5 miles by the 5th of each month for 5 months!

Very cool and very motivating!

Eat Healthier

With 4 classes this semester I'm not sure how well I will do but I am going to try to make better choices in what I eat.

I thought about doing more resolutions but the more I list the less I will want to stick to them so I will begin with this!  I am hoping to have at least 1 race a month and so far I am signed up for 4.

1.Walt Disney Marathon

2.Princess Half Marathon

3.Publix Atlanta Half Marathon

4.Run For Your Lives (this one is going to be the most fun as I will be in full Zombie makeup!)

So I've not much of a writer but I wanted to start this to keep track of my running experiences.

This is my claim to fame!  Oh and the 3 boys that call me Mommy!  I started running about 2 years ago and really got hooked.  I've run 2 Princess Half Marathons, ING Half Marathon, Wine and Dine, RNR Nashville Half Marathon, Miami Beach Halloween Half Marathon and the Inaugural Tower of Terror 10 miler!  Whew makes me tired just thinking of them lol.  I'm addicted and I don't think I can stop!

One of the things I love the most is the costumes!!  I loved dressing up and running in funny clothes!  This is my oldest son and I dressed as Pain and Panic from Hercules (Disney) before running the Tower of Terror 10 miler!

My next race I won't be wearing anything funny just some simple cold gear by Underarmour to keep me warm as I attempt my first FULL marathon!  Yes I did say a full marathon...26.2 miles...I am down to the wire too.  I have 12 days to race day!!  I'm excited and nervous at the same time.  Well a girl needs her sleep and I'm exhausted Nighty Night!
